Random thoughts of a rebel

2 years ago, we all watched passionately the Tunisian people revolting against their corrupt system and inspiring us all to go down to the streets and demand our rights of "Bread, Freedom, & Social Justice".

We were raised to slavery and obeying the law and the almighty dictator. We were tought that there is no hope in salvation. They convinced us there existence is a fact and our resistance is useless; So we never bothered trying.

All it took is one ray of light and 18 days of fight to regain hope and resurrect the free souls buried inside the dead bodies.

A few months later; freedom started fading away to a much more brutal military rule. The sight of change that seemed so close kept getting further; and here we are again after almost 2 years of the 18 days that changed the lifes of the most, and took away some; barely noticing change in the way we life or the freedoms we gain.

Yet, its not even a possibilty that we give up hope now after knowing the stars are reachable; maybe we're not better off from the outside, but deep down inside each one of us, we see the light, we know we can, and we are ready to fight again and again and again if needed; when the right time comes.

I believe; change will come; eventually!
